Lord Adonis will be speaking in Sevenoaks on Saturday 6 October about the state of Brexit in These Critical Weeks at the invitation of SSTIE.
From our local campaigning SSTIE recognises that there is intense and increasing interest in the Brexit issue; and that many people still feel ill-informed about it.
There is a serious need to make more information available to the public about Brexit and we have invited Lord Adonis to talk to us about this and in particular to bring the people of Sevenoaks, Swanley and the surrounding areas up to date as to how things look now.
He is ideally qualified to give this perspective having travelled across the country to find out why people, particularly those in traditional manufacturing areas, voted Leave.
SSTIE has tried to get a spokesperson to participate in this event to inform local people about the Government’s Chequers plan but without success.
